The Pag-Ani

It was raining, I arrived to the gym with many fellow students, their eyes filled with joy and laughing. I’m a transferee so I’m clueless for what is going on around me, I entered the gym, there I saw my adviser waving at me then she told me where my classmates are, As I approach I saw my classmate waving at me. I sat down beside my classmate and we have a not too long conversation, I asked him about pag ani. After a few minutes the show started, the music was so loud that I felt my chest was making sound. I remembered a scene where I saw my classmate dancing and the beautiful story of Benz and for what I learned that is no matter how tall or strong the obstacle is we just need to find a way to overcome them and then dance about myths, the dance with plot twist. The gym was filled with many talented individuals. I realized this pag-ani was all about arts and music. The performers dance with their hearts also the paintings and drawings was so beautiful as well as the poem. The students are filled with joy and a lot of things happened inside the gym, they really did enjoy the show. The show is about to end I was too happy that I forgot the time, after some time the show ends and I stood up and said goodbye to my classmate. I was outside and saw many students laughing and talking about the performance that time I learned many things and forgot my problems. I saw a tricycle them head home.

What you can contribute to your country if you are a media and information literate individual

Being in a media is a dangerous job, a reliable information is a must. Be a source of useful unbiased, carefully-thought-out answers to questions, In discussion, ask thoughtful questions that might provoke others on thinking through their views and positions. Be capable of stepping backward being objective and dispassionate about important topics analyze, analyze, analyze. Understand historical and cultural contexts. Know enough about literature, history, philosophy and the arts to have something to contribute. Know enough to listen and understand. Be capable of holding more than one viewpoint. Be curious and knowledgeable. Turn the conservation to justification, evidence and logic. Unfortunately so many “facts” are put forth nowadays, from unknown or dubious sources, that this become a flurry of anecdotes, many of them fantasy. Be the source of right information always be a critical thinker because if you released a fake news many people will be affected. Before you publish an article or news, make sure that everything is legit, review it many times as you want, avoid crossing boarders because in many places around the world, journalist who dare to expose the truth are persecuted and jailed. Occasionally, their life is at risk. Independent and responsible news is a valuable asset whose contribution to society needs to b recognized and cherished. In the age of fake news, credible source is a waging a battle for survival. Obscure conspiracy theories by “certain people” with achieve sinister objectives, seem to get more attention than sober, fact based, truth seeking. Be the source of truth
